This new CBR is based on a newly developed 250cc twin cylinder, 4 stroke, 8 valve, liquid cooled engine. According to Honda, the new CBR 250RR is way ahead in performance and styling department from all other quarter-litre class motorcycles. This 249.7 cc engine draws maximum power of 36 bhp @ 12,500 rpm and a peak torque of 22.5 Nm @ 10,500 rpm.
The engine is then mated with a six speed manual gear box using wet clutch with coil springs. It can be used as day to day regular commuter, as well as a track day motorcycle. Like all premium sports bike it also features 3 different riding modes enabling the rider to adjust the performance of the bike according to the terrain and also a throttle-by-wire (TBW) system.
Unlike any other 250cc class motorcycle available in the market, this one stands apart with its appealing sporty styling and aggressive looking front fascia. Dual-LED headlamps, large fuel tank with sharp contours, tall windscreen, sporty tailpiece with splits seats and air intakes, twin canister exhaust system, wide tyres and digital instrument clusters adds the cosmetic features of this CBR. The larger fuel tank can hold 14.5 litres of gasoline. USD fork is used for front suspension, while monoshock deals with rear suspension;.
